Pinoy Puto Seko
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cup corn starch
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup powdered milk
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
- Combine flour, cornstarch, powdered milk, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, mix until completely incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until well blended and smooth.
- Knead for a few minutes to make a soft dough.
- Cut the dough into two equal parts.
- Roll out the dough to about ¼-inch thick.
- Cut out cookies using a 2-inch fluted or round cookie cutter.
- Place on the baking trays, leaving ½-inch apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 -12 minutes, until just lightly browned around the edges.
- Let the cookies cool completely on the baking trays before storing.
Note:
- Store the cookies in an airtight container.
